The school/school district and
Limos For Learning™ collaboratively
establish overall objectives for their program
to reward tremendous effort, reading improvement
and related school objectives.  Standardized test scores,
quotas (numbers of books read), nor present academic performance
may be utilized as criterion.  Classroom teachers establish individual reading
goals with each student, including all participating grade level students regardless
of their ability, special needs, language barriers, or present level of success.

As a condition of participation, the school agrees to meet specified deadlines,
effectively communicate objectives and program requisites to all staff/teachers,
and to:

•   Establish a school committee to select Literacy Celebration Day participants.  Student nominees must be identified by their classroom teachers

•   Provide a School Coordinator and Parent Volunteer to work collaboratively with Limos For Learning staff.

•   Utilize and distribute all program materials provided by Limos For Learning, including printed materials for parents, videos and motivational books, classroom posters, and tangible items to reward student progress and improvement.

•   Monitor time spent reading outside the classroom through student reading logs maintained by students, documented by a parent or other supervising adult, and submitted routinely to teachers for review.

•   Publish a press release in the school newsletter about the program, recognizing Literacy Celebration Day students and program sponsors.  School Coordinator must provide a copy of the newsletter

•   Provide and authorized school chaperone for students attending the Literacy Celebration Day event

•   Obtain signed parental permission release forms for student participation, photography and press coverage (provided)

•   Ensure each Literacy Celebration Day participant writes a thank you note to a sponsor (cards are provided)

We value and appreciate input from classroom teachers and principals - it is crucial to the continued success and improvement of our program. All participating classroom teachers and principals are required to complete a brief post-program evaluation form..
